He is the eldest son of actor Tom Hanks. In the Talking Tom and Friends animated series, he voices Tom, who is the title character. Hanks was born and raised in Sacramento, California, the eldest son of actor Tom Hanks and his first wife, producer and actress Susan Dillingham, who died of bone cancer on March 12, 2002. His surname was changed to Hanks after his parents married in 1978.
