After arriving in Melbourne, Lucy embarked on a career as a stand-up comedian, leading to a series of highly successful one-woman shows, including No Waiter I Ordered the Avocado, King Of The Road, An Impossible Dream, The Show, The Show 2, Colour Me Judith, I’m Going to Learn How to Fly, I Failed!, and Judith Lucy’s Not Getting Any Younger . Her 1999 comedy album King of the Road was nominated for an ARIA Award.
