From 2014 to 2017 Laura Sachslehner was an employee and office manager of the Young People’s Party (JVP), in November 2017 she was appointed as the successor to Stefan Schnell as JVP general secretary. Florian Dang took over this task in October 2020. In 2018 she became district party chairman and deputy of the ÖVP in Vienna- country road. In the 2020 state and local council elections, she ran tenth on the state list and was the top candidate in the Landstrasse state and local council constituency. On November 24, 2020, she was sworn in at the constituent session of the 21st electoral term as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council, where she was a member of the City Council Committee for Housing, Housing, Urban Renewal, and Women, and the City Council Committee for Culture and Science became. Since December 2020, she has acted as deputy for ÖVP state manager Bernadette Arnoldner.
