She also handles and looks after the establishment of reading Fort Worth, the creation of a city-wide plan on equality, early childhood education, the successful contribution of Fit Worth, Steer FW, and the Blue Zones Project. Mattie was currently seen serving on the board of directors for ‘Recovery Resource Council’, ‘ACH Child and Family services’, ‘Lonestar Film Festival’ and ‘Leadership ISD of Tarrant County.
She possesses a passion for politics and has dealt with and worked with many well-respected leaders.
